Credit card devices at manual stores are handled differently than those at Point-of-Sale stores.
Bank of America Merchant Services (BAMS) supports the devices. Here is what you will need from the Accounting department before you call BAMS:
- Merchant number
- Location phone number
- Business address and zip code
Calling Bank of America Merchant Services
- Merchant Services Phone Number: 800-430-7161
- Enter your location Merchant # (from Dan) and then press #
- You will be prompted to enter the location phone number or just press #
- If the prompt accepts your phone number move on to the next step
- If the prompt does not accept the phone number just press #, and then the prompt will ask you to select from a list of locations, please select the right number for your location.
- Confirm the business address by entering only the address number and then press #
- Enter the location Zip Code
- The prompt will give you the following choices: (Select Option #3)
- Voice Authorization
- Supply Ordering **supply request form available on Accounting Sharepoint
- Technical Support for your credit card equipment or Clover App
- Question about your Clover Apps Market Bill
- All Other Inquiries
Once a person gets on the other line you can tell them the issue(s) you are having with your credit card equipment. Merchant Services will assist you from this point on.
In many cases the problem can be solved by a simple upload to your terminal, but in some cases a replacement terminal will need to be sent to the location in 1 or 2 business days.
Replacement terminal charges will be charged to the individual location through the Merchant Account.
