It's very easy to take a screenshot in Windows. See below based on your version:
Windows 10/11
Adjustable-sized screenshot
- Simply hold down the following keys: Win + Shift + S
- The screen will turn dark
- Use your mouse to click and drag the lighted area around the part of the screen you wish to copy.
- When you let go of the mouse button, the image will automatically be stored in your Clipboard for you paste into a ticket/chat/email
Active-window-only screenshot
- Press Alt + PrintScreen on your keyboard
- The image will automatically be stored in your Clipboard for you paste into a ticket/chat/email
Whole-desktop screenshot
- Press PrintScreen on your keyboard. NOTE: This will copy your entire desktop including multiple monitors if you have them, so the image can be quite large
- The image will automatically be stored in your Clipboard for you paste into a ticket/chat/email
Windows 7
Adjustable-sized screenshot
- Launch the built-in Snipping Tool
- Use your mouse to click and drag the area around the part of the screen you wish to copy.
- In the Snipping Tool menu, you can copy or save the image you just captured to paste into a ticket/chat/email
Active-window-only screenshot
- Press Alt + PrintScreen on your keyboard
- The image will automatically be stored in your Clipboard for you paste into a ticket/chat/email
Whole-desktop screenshot
- Press PrintScreen on your keyboard. NOTE: This will copy your entire desktop including multiple monitors if you have them, so the image can be quite large
- The image will automatically be stored in your Clipboard for you paste into a ticket/chat/email
