Did the store not poll last night? Are cash reports missing? Unable to find your X and/or Z reports? Missing sales records from the last week? The Register's most likely need to be polled.
To manually poll a store follow these instructions:
- Login to Register 1, if your store has multiple registers only perform this task on Register 1.
- Launch Headquarters Client (usually on the desktop)
- Highlight and click on the "Connect" icon (The two computers with the yellow telephone between them. You should find it to the right of the printer icon).
- You could also hit the "F5" key.
- You could also select "Server" then "Connect" in the drop down menu.
- You should see the program "Connecting to the database" and then listing "Worksheets" being processed.
- The program will display "Connection Ended" when completed. Highlighted in blue in the below image
Unable to open Headquarters Client?
If you try to open Headquarters client and receive an error message informing you that the application cannot open because it is already running, then there is another step you must take before you can manually poll. This requires an intermediate level of troubleshooting, if you are uncomfortable with this troubleshooting method please submit a ticket and a member of the IT Team will gladly assist you.
The method of ending the HQ Client background process may have some slight variation depending on which Operating System your Register has. Once the below process has been completed try to manually poll again.
