Creating a shortcut in the startup folder for automatically polling (Headquarters Client)

Sometimes a step is missed in new register setup that requires the Microsoft Dynamics RMS Headquarters Client be put in the startup folder for Register 1:

Here's how to do it:

1. Hold Win+R keys on your keyboard
2. In the pop-up, type "shell:startup" which takes you to the logged-in user's startup folder
3. If there is not already a shortcut for HQClient, right-click and select Add > Shortcut.
4. On the popup window, click the Browse button and navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System\Headquarters Client\HQClient.exe"
5. Click Next
6. Keep the default name and select Finish
