Typically, when your computer loses internet access, a simple reboot of the internet device is the first step in fixing the issue.

DSL/cable/fiber modem
There is typically a power switch on the back of the device near where the power supply cable goes. If there is:
- Turn if off
- Count to 10
- Turn it back on
If there is no power button:
- Disconnect the power supply cable from the device
- Count to 10
- Reconnect the power supply cable to the device
Hotspot
Hotspots usually have a power button that you can press and hold for 3-5 seconds which will power it off.
- Press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds and wait for the device to power off
- Count to 10
- Press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds and wait for the device to power on
What if a device reboot didn't work?
