Event Equipment Setup

We have three setups available for events. Events with access to power, events without power,

and manual events. Below is the setup process for all three types.

With the new credit card machine you can accept all forms of payment. Included below is a diagram of chip tap and swipe payments on the link 2500.

Prior to the Event

Please power on the iPad and login to the register the day before. You can use the hotspot to connect it to the internet or user the store wifi. Allow for the register to sync its data, you can see the sync status in the menu. click the menu icon in the top left corner of the register screen. The status will be at the top of the menu. If it's blue and syncing its downloading data. If it's green and online its ready to sell. 

Events with Power

1. iPad lightspeed register
2. Ingenico link 2500 credit card machine
3. hotspot
4. mPop cash drawer/receipt printer combo
5. iPad stand
6. Barcode scanner 

First take the mPop drawer and flip it over. Plug in the power cable, the iPad usb-c cable, and the barcode scanner in to the ports on the bottom. 

Make sure the cables are routed through the correct channels so they don't get smashed or kinked by the weight of the drawer. 

Now you can flip the drawer over and plug the power cable into your power source

Then place the iPad stand on top of the drawer. Place the iPad in the stand

Take the USB-C cable and plug it into the iPad

Once the drawer and ipad are set up we can follow the next steps

1. Power on the hotspot. Let the hotspot fully boot till you get to the main screen. You might hear a beep when the iPad connects to the device. the hotspot will beep when a device connects to it.
2.  Power on the credit card machine by pressing the green O button. Give that a minute or two to fully boot up as well once it's ready you should see a tripos screen and a wifi signal in the top left corner that is green. If it is white its not connected to the hotspot. 
3. the hotspot should also show two devices connected on its home screen. you will see a little people icon that says total-2. that means the iPad and cc machine are connected. 

Once everything is powered on and connected to the internet you can start selling. Power on the ipad by pressing the physical button on the top right corner. You will see an apple logo appear then the home screen. The passcode is 000000. Launch the Retail(X) app. Enter easternnationalusa as the store name. Then enter your username and password to login. Make sure you select the correct register. It will be named store number-event ex. 521-event. Events without Power

Equipment

1. iPad lightspeed register
2. Ingenico Link 2500
3. hotspot
4. iPad stand 
5. manual cash drawer

*Make sure each device is fully charged the day before the event*

1. Place the manual cash drawer then put the iPad Stand on top
2. Power on the hotspot. Let the hotspot fully boot till you get to the main screen.
3. Power on the credit card machine by pressing the green O button. Give that a minute or two to fully boot up as well once it's ready you should see a tripos screen and a wifi signal in the top left corner that is green. If it is white its not connected to the hotspot. 
4. Power on the ipad by pressing the physical button on the top right corner. You will see an apple logo appear then the home screen. The passcode is 000000.
5. The hotspot should show 2 devices connected. You will see a little people icon that says total-2. That means the iPad and cc machine are connected.

Once all the devices are connected and powered on you can start to sell. Launch the Retail(X) app on the iPad. Enter easternnationalusa as the store name. Then enter your username and password to login. Make sure you select the correct register. It will be named store number-event ex. 521-event.
