The Surface Pro is a series of tablet computers which we use mostly as our Register, Back Office, and workstation computers across the company. These computers are touch screen enabled, come with a magnetic detachable keyboard and a built in kickstand so that they can be used at a desk, in a dock, or on the go. The Surface Pros are capable of running Windows 10 or 11. These devices do not have an ethernet port installed. so if wireless internet is unavailable they will need an adapter to make a network connection via ethernet cable. The three models which we have in use that we will look at in this article are the Surface Pro 6, 7, and 7+.
If you are unable to determine which model you have, you can use the 'Surface' app on the device to display the model type, and other device information. To open the Surface app, use the Windows Search option or locate in the Start Menu under All applications.
