There are more than one reason as to why you may need to restart the credit card terminal. The device may be receiving a network error, is not responding when attempting to do transactions, or some other malfunction; restarting the Verifone credit card terminal may resolve the error.
To restart the Verifone MX 925 Credit Card terminal follow the steps listed below:
- Press the 1,5, and 9 keys on the keypad.
- When the password screen comes up, press the red X on the keypad.
- When the select option key screen comes up, press the 1 key.
It should take about thirty seconds, then the device will begin to restart.
After you restart the credit card device, see if the device will respond when trying to ring up a credit card sale.
